It is our pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the Program of Ethnography and Cultural Anthropology of the PhD School of History and Ethnography of the University of Debrecen.
First and foremost, we wish to express our gratitude to you for having chosen our program for your further studies, which is a reflection of your trust in us and an implication of a great degree of responsibility on our part. We do hope that, as a result of a joint effort in the next couple of years, we will be able to assist you in obtaining your doctoral degree. A common goal of the leaders of the doctoral program and all the experts involved in its operation is to promote the academic development and research efforts of the students. We also hope that you will spend memorable years in Debrecen, which you will be content to recall even in the light of your future careers as there are indeed outstanding traditions here of supporting students coming to complete their doctoral studies in the heart of Central Europe. This short summary contains the most important information concerning our doctoral program and its course schedules.
